CMTS Edge 32

The CMTS Edge 32 is a best-in-class CMTS supporting DOCSIS 3.0 and 2.0. It uses a powerful Marvell Octeon™ network processor with hardware acceleration and is built upon a stable and proven Linux OS to deliver the industry’s best performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

Compact in a 1RU footprint, the CMTS Edge makes mounting simple and takes up minimal space in a data center. The dual redundant power supplies provide valuable uptime protection.

The CMTS Edge 32 supports 32 DS and 8 US channels. A maximum of 1 Gbps is supported, when using higher-order modulation and 6 Mhz channel widths.

The CMTS Edge 32 also supports an optional full-spectrum OFDM downstream channel for DOCSIS 3.1 modems that works simultaneously with the 32 DOCSIS 3.0 SCQAM channels. The CMTS Edge 32 Plus is an upgrade to the CMTS Edge 32 that merely requires a license change to enable mixed-mode DOCSIS 3.1/3.0 downstream operation with up to 8 ATDMA upstream channels.
