Transition Seamlessly from CableCARD® with the NXG-NQAM Module
Unlock Reliable Content Delivery and Advanced Performance with Blonder Tongue’s NXG-NQAM, Powered by NAGRA Technology
As the CableCARD® video delivery format is nearing its end, Blonder Tongue has developed a solution for customers who previously relied upon it within its NXG Video Delivery Platform.
Developed in conjunction with NAGRA, the NXG-NQAM input module will receive NAGRA protected SimulCrypt content from QAM, tune and decrypt it, and deliver it to the backplane of the NXG, where it can then be transported out via IP or QAM or via any of the other output modules. This module is equipped with multiple full-band-capture QAM tuners, enabling for the ingest and processing of up to 32 programs by each NXG-NQAM module from the incoming NAGRAVISION system.
The example shown below provides 200 programs total, 192 from the main distribution system and 8 from a mix of local sources (HDMI and SDI).
The NAGRAVISION solution, integrated with Blonder Tongue’s hardware, uses software-based conditional access technology for cable and IPTV/OTT set-top boxes. Direct integration enables different security levels for providers of hospitality services. The implementation is DVB-CSA2 SimulCrypt descrambling in the NXG Video Gateway System with initial key provisioning accomplished over-the-air (OTA) based on the device identifier. Additional licenses are provided by the NAGRAVISION security platform.
The NXG-NQAM modules ensure that you can get the most out of the content that you are receiving, providing the highest quality possible. With its advanced technology, the NXG-NQAM is sure to provide reliable performance and exceptional results.
