Blonder Tongue Mourns the Death of Director Robert B. Mayer

OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey—April 6, 2011—Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE Amex:BDR) is saddened to announce the passing of Robert B. Mayer, a director of the Company, on Friday, April 1, 2011. Mr. Mayer served as a director of the Company since 1995 and also served as a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees of the Board.

James A. Luksch, Chairman and Chief Executive Office, said, "All of us at Blonder Tongue were disheartened to learn of the untimely death of Bob Mayer, our director and friend. Bob was an invaluable member of our Board, providing leadership, vision and judgment. Those of us who worked closest with him knew him not only as a smart, savvy businessman, but more importantly as warm and down to earth, with a deep love of family. He will be greatly missed. We would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathy to his family and friends.”
