Few people are aware that Blonder Tongue got its start in reception products. In the late 1940s Ike Blonder and Ben Tongue saw the need to improve fringe-area reception. With a few dollars and a lot of engineering know-how Blonder Tongue was born. Much has changed since then but Blonder Tongue has remained in the forefront with reception products.
Our Reception section consists of items used to receive TV/FM broadcasts and C/Ku Satellite transmissions prior to headend processing. This section includes antennas, preamplifiers, TVRO antennas, LNB’s and associated hardware.
HDTV, Digital, UHF/VHF/FM Antennas
The BTY Series consists of single channel and broadband
heavy duty antennas designed to receive standard analog and high definition
(HDTV) digital broadcasts. All models are 75 Ohm impedance with
high gain and low side lobes to provide the best received picture
quality possible.
UHF/VHF/FM Preamplifiers
The CMA and SCMA Series are commercial quality mast mounted preamplifiers, available in single channel and broadband models. Low noise figures and high input capability give these preamplifiers a wide dynamic range for various input signal level conditions.
TVRO C & Ku Band Antenna
The ESA-37 TVRO antenna features a spun aluminum one piece reflector for precision surface tolerance providing high gain with excellent noise and side-lobe performance. It includes an AZ/EL mount that mates to a standard 5 inch pipe (not included) for inground mounting. LNB’s (Low Noise Block Converters) are available for the ESA-37. The LNB Series have high frequency stability and low noise temperatures with proven reliability over wide temperature ranges.
